Mistaken for a Mermaid

I have been giving more peaks into my own like than I thought I would when I started this blog. And I know I am not the best writer out there. You could probably give these posts to someone who likes to read and write, and they would be grammatically more correct, and I may even type a wrong word here and there.

But these posts are unedited and from the heart.

WOW! I got WAY off topic for a minute. The point of this post was to tell you about an experience I had last summer.

Last summer, I was swimming (further out from the tourists) with my fins on and enjoying the waves. (Just that week my doctor told me I could not body surf for awhile because I might risk re-injury.) But anyway, when I was coming out of the water a dad was standing with his young son. The father said, "My son thought you were a mermaid all the way out there." Of course, I said back, "I WISH."

Now there is a better moral to the story than just someone thinking I was a mermaid. That man and his son gave me a little pep in my step, and I still think back to it. Giving a stranger a compliment may feel awkward, but the stranger may not see that they have beautiful eyes, body, voice, etc. Kindness can be contagious, and we need more in our word right now.
