As you have heard me type, there is a lot more to being a mermaid then just the fin. Although, your favorite color will be the color of your tail. Now in this post, I thought I would outline that idea a bit more clearly.
The soul/spirit is the most important part of being a mermaid. Mermaids are adventurous, duh, we want to live where humans do not and are scared live.
When you were younger, your favorite Disney Princess was Ariel, again DUH. Although as you got older you saw Ariel's flaws in wanting to be "where the people are."
As a mermaid, no matter where you live you ALWAYS have a swimsuit in your car (it may be mildewy from the last time you wore it).
You always have a towel in your car.
You always have enough in your trunk to go to the beach at any given moment.
You love your hair. (It is most likely long)
You find peace by the water, no matter if that is a pool, the ocean, a lake, or a river.
Your favorite game as a kid was mermaids in the pool. It secretly still is.
Whenever you have free time, it is spent by/in the water.
Moving on to again a sneak peak in my life... When you were younger you had (a very cheesy) beach themed room. Some, like me, went through a phase of trying out something other than their inner mermaid and may have moved away from the ocean for a while. But you saw the error in your ways, and it made your mermaid spirit so much stronger. And now (if you are past your phase) your room is back to a much less cheesy mermaid/beach theme.
You are proud to be a mermaid and do not care who knows it. (Other than maybe people at work)
