WARNING: IT'S NOT A PICTURE OF A MERMAID. 🙊
So a snapshot into my life... I have a couple of injuries the past couple years that have kept me off the board, and I have not even used the new one I got early last year. But I definitely can not wait for the time I am injury free and ready to rip some gnarly waves.
For now, I am stuck body surfing, swimming, and just enjoying the sand.
What I do the most is swimming in the waves and enjoying them as they come, then I ride some waves back to the shore, get some sun, and repeat.
When I am laying out, I go from listening to (reggae) music to people watching. You get to see families, friend groups, junior guards, lifeguards, and the occasional babysitter (most of the time) in over her/his head; now most these people planned for at least a few days if not longer that they were going to the beach that day.
Now I do not see many people like me there who are enjoying themselves and who planned that day to head to the beach. There is always the surfers and bodyboarders, who ride and leave because their peace is in the water.
All in all, enjoy the beach, do not schedule it to death like the rest of your life.
